Eliyahu Sachter

Eliyahu Sachter (Enlarge)
Born in the city of Galaţi, Romania in 1937, a Holocaust survivor, he immigrated to Israel with his family in 1975.
A mechanical engineer by training, he served as a project manager and assistant head of the engineering department of the Adama factory.
He is a member of the Israeli Parliamentary Association for Holocaust Remembrance and Aid to Survivors, vise president of the Association of Romanian Immigrants in Beer Sheba and the Negev, and formerly, a member of the Romanian Immigrants Foundation. The Mayor of Be’er Sheva’s Award for Excellence was conferred on him for his volunteerism in the city.
