Dalia Hochberg was born in Kibbutz Ma’ale Hahamisha in 1954 to parents who were Holocaust survivors. Her mother was born in Łódź and survived Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen. Her father was born in a small town in Galacia.
Dalia has a B.A. in Hebrew Literature and an M.A. in Political Science in the field of national security. She began her IDF career as an officer in the 50th Battalion of the Nahal Brigade, and later served in the Intelligence Corp.
In 1982, she was appointed as a training offficer at Israel’s National Security College. While there, she established a Holocaust Studies program for students of the college.
She currently serves as CEO of the Israel Speakers Center.
