Dr. Itzhak Chen

Dr. Itzhak Chen was born in 1944 in the former Soviet Union, where he studied dentistry. He immigrated to Israel in 1973, and is married and the father of two.
After he immigrated, he enlisted in the IDF and completed an officers training course.
From 1985, Dr. Chen has been active in the Israel Dental Association, and has served as its Chairman since 1991.
Dr. Chen is very involved in the public sector. He has initiated a program for the absorption of immigrant dentists, under which more than 1,000 dentists have been trained. He has also initiated a volunteer program for the community, in which about 300 dental clinics all over Israel offer treatment at no charge. In recent years, emphasis has been placed on the treatment of Holocaust survivors. For this blessed initiative, the Itur Ha'Or (Medal of Light) was conferred on him in 2014.
He holds the title of Honorary Professor from both the University of Bucharest and the University of Komarov in Russia.
