The Foundation for the Benefit of Holocaust Victims in Israel now provides emergency life buttons to Holocaust survivors who are lonely or have sever medical problems.
The Foundation will install emergency life buttons in the homes of eligible subscribers, upon approval of their application. The emergency life buttons will be installed through Ezer-Phone, a member of the Shahal Group; the installation is free of charge. The Holocaust survivors will receive a "Gold Package" that includes other services, including:
- Doctor's visit around the clock with survivor's participation of NIS 20.
- Emergency ambulance to take the survivor to hospital (when there is no refund from the HMO) with survivor's participation of NIS 27.
- Security patrol (in case of fear for security) – free of charge.
- Emergency dental care, through dental clinics that have entered into the arrangement - free of charge.
There is a annual fee of 105 Nis for the services , but survivors age 80 and above or with extreme financial or physical difficulties can be exempt If an emergency life button is already installed in your home, remember to ask the previous company to disconnect their emergency life button after installation of the Foundation's emergency life button. |
